How are cultural institutions using digital technology to reach wider audiences, create new programs and strengthen their operations?
Like, Link, Share, a report and companion Website, studies how legacy cultural institutions are embracing digital technology. Specifically, Like, Link, Share describes how cultural organizations are employing new media and digital technology to reach wider audiences, creating and funding new artistic programs, and developing their operational infrastructure. For more than a year, over forty organizations were interviewed from around the world—including disciplines such as art museums, opera, symphonies, science museums, theaters and dance—to learn about their digital innovation efforts and how they are measuring the success of those efforts. The report highlights five themes, or lessons learned, that would be most valuable to other organizations that are seeking to build their digital capacity. The Website profiles all forty organizations studied and includes a Web gallery and individual profiles.
